Introducing FLIGHT® 252P Series. The implementation of innovative FLIGHT® Technology on the 252P super-temperature capable platform offers a powerful and compact machine solution for material development, providing enhanced part features as well as an improved cost-performance ratio.

The build cartridge is moved to the breakout station via the conveyor system. The Breakout Station is fully enclosed and is accessed through multiple glove boxes on the front and back of the station, allowing the capability of multiple operators while retaining a clean working environment. The built-in air-guns allow for gentle powder removal and detailed cleaning.

Integrated with multiple powder handling processes, including used powder recycling & storage, new powder supply, high-speed mixing, and powder sieving, the robust PMS system enables a streamlined material workflow with minimum downtime of the SLS 3D printer, improved throughput, and lower cost per part.

 

 

The PMS system can also be paired with a mobile Powder Delivery Unit (PDU), which transports the prepared powder directly to the SLS laser 3D printer. Once there, the PDU’s integrated pump transfers the powder into the printer’s powder feed cartridge.

Equipped with an increased energy absorption fiber laser, paired with truly open parameters, the FLIGHT® 252P Series is capable of accessing a much wider range of processable materials and operational flexibility compared to standard laser sintering systems, allowing complete freedom of material and application development.

Fiber Laser

The SLS 3D printer is equipped with a powerful fiber laser instead of the standard CO2 laser. This enables the 3D printer polymer to deliver significantly increased power to the powder bed, thanks to the more robust and stable nature of the fiber laser. It also provides improved laser longevity, which is key when considering ROI for manufacturing applications. With the ultra-fine fiber laser spot size, the FLIGHT® 252P Series produces parts with improved feature detail compared to other standard plastic laser sintering technologies.

High Temperature

The FLIGHT® 252P Series offers two configurations capable of achieving processing chamber temperatures from up to 220°C (HT) to 280°C (ST). Enhanced thermal controls, temperature-shielded components, and enhanced parameters offer customers the ability to process high-performance polymer materials such as PEEK 3D printing, nylon 3D printer, and polypropylene 3D printer materials with excellent results.

Engine Intake Manifold

This intake manifold module is designed for functional testing on a passenger vehicle engine system. With advanced additive technology, engineers are able to create the new design according to the dynamic boundary conditions of the engine and fabricate in one piece without the need to split the part into multiple sections for production and assembly using conventional processes. Fabricated with customized PA6 with glass bead-filled material, the intake manifold module meets the high-temperature and pressure requirements.
